Virginia M. Clayton, 95, of Waynesburg, died at 2:31 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2018, in Washington Hospital.
She was born Tuesday, February 6, 1923, in Brave, a daughter of the late Harry Kuhn and Sally Taylor Kuhn, and also Elizabeth Kuhn.
Mrs. Clayton was a lifelong resident of Greene County. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church, Waynesburg.
She enjoyed crocheting, puzzle books and spending time with family. She worked for several families in the county cleaning homes and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Clayton is survived by two daughters, Janet (Barney) Kline of Crucible and Patricia Rogers of Waynesburg; a son, Harry (Sue) Herrod of Waynesburg; 18 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Deceased are a daughter; two sons; a granddaughter; a grandson; two sisters; and two brothers.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, in Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church, 2298 Mt. Morris Road, Waynesburg, PA 15370, with Pastor James Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Greene Mount Cemetery, Waynesburg.
