On Saturday, May 12, 2018, Charles Richard “Charlie” “Sharky” Lange, 89, a beloved hero in life and death, passed away after two days in Concordia Hospice of Washington-Donnell House, surrounded by family and friends who admired and loved him.

Charles was born February 15, 1929, in Pittsburgh, a son of Lawrence Blaze and Mary Sevacko Lange.

Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie Beaumont Lange; and his eight brothers.

He is survived by numerous family and friends.

He faced his last “battle” here on earth as a true hero with unwavering faith.

A quiet and humble man, Charles honorably served his country during the Korean War and was awarded a Silver Star and Purple Heart for his bravery and courage in the line of duty. He lived life to the fullest extent, and before Marie’s passing he traveled all over the United States with her. They are now together to continue their heavenly adventure!

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, May 19, in St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 967 Grant Street, Bulger, PA 15019. Burial will immediately follow in Melrose Cemetery, Bridgeville, with military honors. Charles will be buried alongside his beloved Marie.
