Shirley Jane Sharp Zediker, 88, of Washington, died Wednesday morning, May 16, 2018, in her home.
Born January 30, 1930, in Canonsburg, she was a daughter of the late William C. and Bertha Boyce Sharp.
She was a 1948 graduate of Canonsburg High School.
Mrs. Zediker was a full-time homemaker and for many years worked on the family dairy farm.
Prior to her marriage, she had worked at RCA and Canonsburg Milling in Canonsburg.
She was a member of Emmanuel United Presbyterian Church, Eighty Four.
Mrs. Zediker was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed watching all sports.
On September 22, 1962, she married John C. Zediker Jr., who survives.
Also surviving are two children, William Zediker (Tina) and Donna Milligan (Larry); four grandchildren, John Milligan (Michelle), David Milligan (Haldis), Will and Emma Zediker.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are three brothers, William, Fred and Robert Sharp; and three sisters, Audrey Firkley, Betty Lee Chasteen and Thelma Starkey.
The family will have a private burial service at Emmanuel United Presbyterian Cemetery, Eighty Four.
Friends and family will be received from 2:30 to 4 p.m., the hour of memorial service, Saturday, May 19, in Emmanuel United Presbyterian Church, 480 Route 519, Eighty Four, with the Rev. Dawn R. Sherwood officiating. Following the service, a remembrance dinner will be held in the church social hall in Mrs. Zediker’s honor.
