Eleanor Kacvinsky
Eleanor Lorraine Bartman was born February 16, 1934, to Julius and Anna Bartman in Galatin. She was raised in Vestaburg, where she grew up as the only girl with three brothers, Jim Bartman, Julius Bartman, who is deceased, and Gerald Bartman. She attended West Bethlehem schools and graduated in May 1952.
She married Michael Kacvinsky Jr. July 3, 1954, in Marianna, and raised four children, Kathy, Michael, Mark and Mary Sue. She was an active parishioner of Sts. Mary and Ann Catholic Church. She was employed as a bank teller at First National Bank in Marianna. After the death of her husband in 1989, she retired and moved to Huntington Beach, Calif., in 1994. She was an active parishioner at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, and a member of SSJ Pastoral Ministry, Bible Study, WAFA and Blue Army.
She passed away April 21, 2018.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Kathy and William Morris, Michael and Yvonne Kacvinsky, Mark and Brenda Kacvinsky and Mary Sue and Matt Engle. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Mikey, Carrie, Mark, Ashley, Billy, Kevin, Daniel, Kelly, Katie and Matthew. She also has nine great-grandchildren, Heidi, Genesis, Hunter, Gavin, Landon, Dylan, Hudson, Sawyer and Emery.
In her own words, “My life has been good. I am close to God and confident in His goodness.”
The Kacvinsky, Morris and Engle families respectfully invite all to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26, in St. Katharine Drexel, Marianna Campus (formerly Sts. Mary and Ann), 117 First Street, Marianna. Inurnment will follow in Horn Cemetery, Marianna.
