William P. Wilkes
William P. Wilkes, 58, of Waynesburg, died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born Friday, October 9, 1959, in Altoona, a son of the late Jack Sunderland and Louise Frye Sunderland.
Mr. Wilkes was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Waynesburg, and was a graduate of Waynesburg University.
He enjoyed collecting antiques. He worked as the director of the adult training facility for Washington-Greene Alternative Residential Services Inc., Washington.
Mr. Wilkes is survived by his fiancée, Tammy Cross of Waynesburg; son, Joshua; sister, Dianne Little and husband David of Pittsburgh; three brothers, Terry Wilkes and wife Amy of Roaring Springs, Larry Wilkes of Altoona and Richard Wilkes of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, Jack Wilkes.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m., the time of the service, Saturday, May 19, in First Assembly of God Church, 4131 West Roy Furman Highway, Waynesburg, with Pastor Jim Galbraith officiating. Friends and family are to meet at 11 a.m. Monday, May 21, in Grandview Cemetery, 787 Forsht Lane, Altoona, for graveside services.
