Charles F. Yanosky
Charles F. “Chuck” Yanosky, 47, of Fredericktown, an accomplished local musician, lead guitarist with Backburner and Led Zepplin fan, climbed his “Stairway to Heaven” Thursday, May 17, 2018, with his family at his side, after a long battle with kidney disease.
He was born October 23, 1970, in New Eagle, a son of Charles M. and Bonnie Bane Yanosky, who survive.
Chuck was a 1988 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School and went on to receive his master’s degree in English from California University of Pennsylvania.
He was most recently employed by TA Robinson Asphalt and Amity Paving.
Chuck was a self-taught musician and an avid reader who loved “Jeopardy” and could answer almost every question. He was also a dedicated Pittsburgh sports fan and loved hunting and gardening.
Left to cherish his memory, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Lance Yanosky (Colleen) of Brownsville and Rick Yanosky (Coleen) of Fredericktown; sister Lyndee Yanosky of Fredericktown; three nieces, Kenadee and Haley Yanosky and Ashley Gilmore; and three nephews, Colton and Jacob Yanosky and Michael Gilmore.
He also leaves behind his two loyal German Shepherds, Stella and Sasha, and Ralph the cat.
Deceased are his maternal grandparents, Frank and Clara Matthews Bane, and paternal grandparents Charles and Ann Simzisko Yanosky.
Friends will be received from 12 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank Street, Fredericktown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 21, with Pastor Julie Kolacz officiating. Interment will follow in Buckingham Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to National Kidney Foundation, 2403 Sidney Street Number 230, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
