Justin Michael Blumer, 30, of Mannford, Okla., formerly of Holbrook, passed away unexpectedly in his home Thursday, May 17, 2018.

Justin is survived by his parents, Kevin and Barbie Blumer of Holbrook; brother Colton Blumer of Morgantown, W.Va.; sister and brother-in-law Haley and Kory Bissett and nephew Braxton Bissett of Holbrook; paternal grandmother Nina Blumer of Tulsa, Okla.; maternal grandmother, Patty Bell of Holbrook and maternal grandfather, Ken Bell of Jollytown; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss his wit and smile.

Justin was born August 19, 1987, in Waynesburg. He attended school in Mannford and Glenpool, Okla. He graduated from West Greene High School in 2005 and went on to receive his bachelor of arts in May 2009, and his Juris Doctorate in May 2013, both from Oklahoma City University.

Upon graduation, Justin started work for Sheehan Pipeline Construction Co., the fourth generation to work there. His last employment was with Manhattan Construction Co. in Tulsa, Okla.

When Justin was six-years-old, his parents signed him up for grade school wrestling, where he excelled and won many tournament championships through his high school years. He spent countless hours traveling anywhere and everywhere around the United States with his mom to compete. He continued in the sport through his college years, attending Oklahoma City University on a wrestling scholarship.

One of Justin’s favorite pastimes was taking his Anatolian Shepherd, Anna, fishing, where he felt he was spending time with his late grandpa Blumer. Justin loved coming home to Pennsylvania, especially to celebrate the holidays. He looked forward to attending annual Christmas Steelers games with his dad and brother; laughing and sharing stories of his childhood with his mom and sister; and spoiling his nephew as a proud uncle. Justin loved discussing politics with his grandmothers and anyone else who would listen “even if they didn’t want to.” Justin loved all sports and was an avid Penn State fan. Justin had a strong Christian faith and spent many hours with his Bible in study.
