Russell Alvin King Sr.
Russell Alvin King Sr., 79, of Washington, died peacefully Thursday, May 17, 2018, in Transitions Healthcare, South Strabane Township.
Russ was born December 4, 1938, and was a graduate of Washington High School.
He married Patricia Jean Phillips, who preceded him in death.
Russ served two hitches in the U.S. Navy, and his most recent job was with Sentinel Security.
Russ was a friendly man who loved God, his family and his friends.
Surviving are his son, Russell “Rusty” King Jr.; his daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Jim Skoronski; and 10 grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 219 Main Street, Claysville, PA 15323, 724-663-7373, www.youngfhinc.com, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery, East Finley Township.
