Charles E. “Mike” Craggs Jr. passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018, in Halifax Health Hospice Care Center, Ormond Beach, Fla.

Nicknamed “Mike” by the doctor, it stuck with him his entire life. Mike was born May 8, 1945, in Denbo, Vesta 6, to the late Charles “Chuck” Sr. and Nell Staley Craggs.

He graduated from Bethlehem-Center High School in 1963 with many lifelong friends.

After graduation, he moved to Eastlake, Ohio, in 1964, where he met Carole through friends. They were married November 28, 1964. She was the love of his life. After raising their three wonderful children, they moved to Daytona Beach, Fla., where they lived for the past 18 years.

Mike was cherished by his family and leaves behind his wife, Carole Hennessey; children Michelle (Dennis), Cyndi and Charles “Chuck” III; sisters, “the sibs,” Ruth, Nora, Lil, Ginger and Charlene; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and several “adopted” family members.

He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Rosie.

Mike never met a stranger. He was a friend the moment you met him and a friend for life thereafter.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, in Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby, OH 44094. Immediately following, guests will proceed to Surfside Towers, 36250 Lakeshore Boulevard, Eastlake, OH 44095, to start the celebration of his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Halifax Health Hospice Care Center, 235 Booth Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, 386-425-3150.
