Carol A. Shearer Wise, 74, of Waynesburg, died at 11:41 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2018, in Washington Hospital.
She was born Tuesday, April 11, 1944, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Thelburn Shearer and Betty Wilkinson Shearer.
Mrs. Wise was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waynesburg.
She helped with the auxiliary at WHS-Greene. She worked as chairman at Cherry Door in Waynesburg from 1995 until her death. She retired from the Pittsburgh District of the Army Corps of Engineers as a legal technician for the office of council.
On February 11, 1984, she married her husband, Herbert A. Wise, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Kimberly A. Cole of North Versailles; a grandson, Douglas Cole of North Versailles; two sisters, Barbara Olenic of Butler and Linda Caloyer of Wilkins Township; a stepbrother, Ronald Long of Monroeville; and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. Arrangements are incomplete. A time for greeting of friends and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be private.
