David L. Wise Sr.
David L. Wise Sr., 73, of Greensboro, died Tuesday, May 29, 2018, in his home.
Mr. Wise was born May 14, 1945, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Burns W. and Goldie Morris Wise.
Surviving are four children, Paula Wise Haddock (Tommy) of Panama City, Fla., Jennifer Wise Samek (Jeff) of Mapletown, David L. Wise Jr. (Christine) of Bobtown and Shelby Wise of Morgantown, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Karen Sowden Wise; a brother, William Burns Wise; two sisters, Sylvia Loueva Wise and Ruby Casseday; and his in-laws, Charles and Hazel Sowden.
Mr. Wise served as Greene Township supervisor for more than 20 years.
David was a member of First Baptist Church of Carmichaels and Greensboro-Monongahela Township Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
David was an avid Steelers and Mountaineers fan.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Saturday, June 2, in Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, 724-966-5100, with the Rev. Charles Sowden officiating.
