Celissa Mae Smolk, 73, of Carmichaels, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 30, 2018, in Uniontown Hospital.

She was born October 22, 1945, in Rices Landing, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Rager Hixon.

Mrs. Smolk enjoyed spending time with family, sewing and reading. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Uniontown.

Surviving are her loving husband, Richard Smolk; a son, Thomas Teegarden and wife Donna of Rices Landing; and a granddaughter, Emily Teegarden.

Deceased are a sister, Mary Kast, and a brother, Thomas Hixon II.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the time of service, Monday in Yoskovich Funeral Home, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, 724-966-5500, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.
