Julianna Lynn “Julie” Schirosky, 61, of Washington, died Thursday, November 1, 2018, in her home.

She was born October 20, 1957, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late William Nicholas and Genieve E. Cope Polly.

A 1976 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School, she also received an associate’s degree from college.

Julie was a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Schirosky worked in the meat and deli department at Foodland on East Maiden Street.

Julianna loved her dogs, cats and especially her pet deer. She also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. One of her passions was doing veteran outreach for young service members in our community.

On May 23, 1991, she married John C. Schirosky Jr., who survives.

Also surviving are a sister, Dianna L. Polly of Washington; uncles and aunts George and Nancy McMullen of Houston and Vance and Judy Vogelsong of Mechanicsburg; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jack and Linda Amon; father-in-law John Schirosky Sr. of Washington; three nieces, Janel Marie Polly of the state of New York, Kimberly (Jerrick) Caldwell of Canonsburg and Christie (Eric) Kelley of Canonsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a brother, William N. Polly Jr., and a niece, Jodi Ellis.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
