Dorothy Vergnola
Dorothy Vergnola, 92, of Zelienople, formerly of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018, on her 92nd birthday.
She was born November 6, 1926, in Cuddy, a daughter of Anthony and Ann Glassic Puz.
Mrs. Vergnola was Catholic. She was a dedicated homemaker, wife and mother and loved spending time with family. She especially enjoyed polka music.
On April 26, 1948, she married William Vergnola, who died December 7, 2005.
Surviving are her daughter, Erma Vergnola Safranek of Zelienople; three grandchildren, Jayme Safranek (Timothy) Smith, Jennifer Safranek (Richard) Marcotte and William (Heather) Vergnola III; seven great-grandchildren, Ethan Smith, Abbey Smith, Max Marcotte, Sam Marcotte, Madeline Marcotte, Taryn Vergnola and Kylie Vergnola; and her sister, Mary Jane Steffan.
Deceased, in addition to her husband, are her son, William Vergnola Jr.; son-in-law James Safranek; and brothers Anthony Puz II, Rudy Puz and Louis Puz.
