Gregg W. Herrington, 65, of Amity, died Wednesday, November 14, 2018, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born October 28, 1953, in Waynesburg, a son of Charles and Ethel Johnson Herrington.
He was a graduate of Waynesburg High School and Dean Technical School. Gregg was a design draftsman for Paul Wurth Inc. for 27 years.
He was a past member of the Kirby Methodist Church. He enjoyed trapping, hunting for ginseng, metal detecting, gardening, working in the yard and watching all Pittsburgh sport teams.
On June 11, 1988, he married Judy Kerns.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Herrington of Amity; mother Ethel Johnson Herrington of Waynesburg; daughter Trisha (Bradley) Rupp of Canonsburg; son Brad Herrington of Amity; two sisters, Gwen (Bill) Cross of Rogersville and Jan Morton of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his father, Charles Herrington, is brother Randy Herrington.
There will be no public visitation. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 17, in Amity United Methodist Church, Amity, PA 15311. Interment will be private. Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, are in charge of arrangements.
