Herbert Ducsay, 75, of Collier Township, died Thursday, November 29, 2018.
Born July 23, 1943, in Canonsburg, he was a son of the late Steve and Cecilia Szalanski Ducsay.
On May 30, 1970, Herb married his wife and best friend, Doreen Lynch Ducsay. He was the loving father of Sheri Ducsay; beloved Bebby of Hunter and Faith Gratzmiller; brother of the late Ron Ducsay and wife Nancy, who survives, and the late George Ducsay and wife Alice, who survives; cousin of Jim (Jessie) Kolaczynski; honorary grandfather to Alec, Cole and Cale Ducsay; and cherished uncle of Sharon (George) Roach, George (Cindy) Ducsay, David (Karen) Ducsay, Mike (Lizza) Ducsay, Bob (Terri) Ducsay, Jenn (Paul) Azoury, five great-nieces and a great-nephew.
A veteran of Vietnam, serving with the U.S. Air Force, Herb worked as a mechanic for Anderson Equipment in Bridgeville and Rudd Equipment in Leetsdale.
He was a 25-year member and former chief of Rennerdale Volunteer Fire Department.
Family and friends will be received from noon until 4 p.m., the time of a service, Saturday, December 1, in Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, 412-221-3333.
