Joseph E. Bryan
Joseph E. Bryan, 67, of Pittsburgh, Shaler, formerly of Bethel Park and Upper St. Clair, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018.
Born October 17, 1950, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Mary Lou and John H. Bryan; beloved husband of Marlene Heshler and Beth Broadhurst, who preceded him in death; loving father of Heidi Fink (Jim), Wendy Shaffer (Kurt) and Christina Clark (Tracy); adored brother of Jenifer “Jennie,” Bryan Hampton (Rob), Mary Katherine “Katie,” Bryan Jones (Bob), Tim Bryan (Cara) and Elizabeth “Liz” Bryan McCall; cherished grandfather or “PopPop” of Quinten, BethAllen, Natalie and Tyson Shaffer, Annie and Sara Fink and Adam, John and Hannah Clark; and loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Joe was a graduate of University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering in 1972 and Katz Graduate School in 1989. He was owner of MatLok Inc. and former owner of Brysco Foodservice Co.
Joe’s passions were spending time with his family, golf, flying and traveling.
Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 5, in Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, Washington, with burial to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to UPMC-Hillman Cancer Center.
