Sandra Lee Verdichio Dungee
Sandra Lee Verdichio Dungee, 70, of Nanuet, N.Y., passed away Monday, October 1, 2018, in Calvary Hospital, New York.
She was born July 28, 1948, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late James and Helena Rattenni Verdichio.
Mrs. Dungee was a 1966 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.
During her time living in Canonsburg, she was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
She was a great cook and baker and an avid Steelers fan. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Haleena.
Mrs. Dungee was a hard worker her entire life and took great pride in taking care of her family.
On February 14, 2003, she married her love, David A. Dungee, originally of Canonsburg.
Surviving are daughter Jamie Lynn Davis of Nanuet and granddaughter Haleena Davis, also of Nanuet.
Also surviving are sister Jean (Bernie) Blanco of Southpointe; brother-in-law John Hall; four nephews, Bernie Blanco, Jim Blanco, Steve Bardos and Jason Hall; niece Karen Bond; two sisters-in-law, Linda Ebore and Donna Ebore; and many nieces and nephews within David’s family.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Judith Hall and Janet Amond; and two infant sons, Jeffrey and Christopher.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 194 East College Street, Canonsburg, where departing prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, October 5. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Chartiers Township.
