Eugene P. Karg
Eugene P. Karg, 82, a resident of Aleppo, died peacefully Sunday, October 7, 2018, in his home surrounded by family, after battling pancreatic cancer.
Gene was born in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of Leo and Leona Browski Karg.
He worked in air conditioning and heating at Tobey-Karg before starting his own business, Gene Karg AC Sales and Service, in 1984. He was a beloved father and husband, an avid hunter and fisherman, U.S. Army veteran and member of St. Ann Catholic Church, who enjoyed woodworking and had strong faith in his Lord.
Gene was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mildred Veslany; parents Leo and Leona; and his brother, John “Jack.”
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Foltz Karg of 35 years; and four children, Marianne (Joe) Latsko of Avon Lake, Ohio, Chris (Tina) of Narvon, Josephine (Duane) Cover of Berlin, Md., and Gerald of Hagerstown, Md. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; brothers James and Thomas; sister Victoria; many nieces and nephews; his best friend, Bucky; and good friends and neighbors.
Gene will be laid to rest in the Karg family cemetery following a private interment service. A memorial Mass will be held at noon Tuesday, October 9, in St. Ann Catholic Church, Waynesburg.
