Irene Manduzio
Irene Manduzio, 89, of Canonsburg, died Saturday, October 6, 2018.
She was born September 22, 1929, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Steven A. and Helen M. Zerambo Smith.
On October 11, 1949, in Cumberland, Md., she married James A. Manduzio Sr., who died September 30, 1995.
Irene enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping and dining out. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Prior to her retirement, she worked at F.W. Woolworth Co., South Hills Village, for 25 years, and as a receptionist in Friendship Village for 15 years.
Surviving are her children, Debbie Hoover of Canonsburg, James A. “Jimbo” (Debra) Manduzio Jr. of Woodbridge, Va., Christine Osborne of Canonsburg and Doreen Dykeman of Canonsburg; four grandchildren, Christopher White, Stephen Dykeman, Danielle Foster and Michael Manduzio; great-grandchildren Dylan Gabriel White and Emma Jo Dykeman; beloved niece, Cindy Coughenour; best friend and sister-in-law, Christine Levi; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved cats, Sammy and Katy.
In addition to her husband, deceased are brothers Robert J. Smith and Ronald Smith; great-grandchild Ethan Patrick White; and son-in-law Patrick Osborne.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000. Departing prayers will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
