Helen M. Artemko
Helen M. Artemko, 90, of Washington, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 9, 2018, in Paramount Senior Living, Bethel Park.
She was born April 18, 1928, in Washington, to the late Michael and Mary Kerna Suwak.
On September 5, 1954, she married Alexander F. Artemko, who passed away July 21, 2005.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Canonsburg.
She was the last of her immediate family of 12 siblings.
Mrs. Artemko was a beautiful homemaker who loved being home, cooking, baking, vegetable gardening and tending to her flowers. She particularly was passionate about her family, raising her daughters and caring for her grandchildren whenever she could.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana M. Campo (William) of Washington and Darlene M. Kish (Bruce) of Cranberry; her four grandchildren, Richard, Stephen and Jonathan Queck and David Kish; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are her brothers, John, Mike, Andy, Nick, Chuck and Peter Suwak; sister Mary Suwak; and two sets of twins who died in infancy.
Friends are welcome from 10 a.m to noon, the time of service, Friday, October 12, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, Darla A. Tripoli, LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, Washington Road, McMurray.
