Michael T. “Gino” Hardesty, 44, of Canonsburg, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 11, 2018, in his home.

He was born March 12, 1974, in Washington.

Mike’s reason for life, his greatest pride and joy, was spending time with his son, Michael Jr., and his fiancée, Amy. He loved the beach, horseback riding, sunsets and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He could always be found wherever there was food, friends and family.

Mike had countless lifelong friends who had become family to him and will miss his “take me as I am” attitude. Mike never met a stranger. He was a very caring and loving person and would do anything to help out his family and friends.

He was a loyal son, beloved brother and always the fun uncle. All who loved him will miss him dearly.

Surviving are his parents, James M. and Sheila “Hick” Hardesty, two sisters, Nichole “Nikki” Hardesty and Dawn L. Spranger (Josh), and a nephew, Alexander Spranger, all of Coconut Creek, Fla.

Friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, Darla A. Tripoli, LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 15. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Bridgeville.
