Gwen Taylor was born August 12, 1926, in St. Paul, Minn. She passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018.

She is remembered for her unwavering wisdom, generosity, wit, intellect, honesty, strength and love. Her life was an inspiration to those who knew her. A University of Minnesota graduate with a degree in journalism, Gwen was a voracious reader known for her chic sense of style.

After raising her family in Upper St. Clair, Gwen made her home in Nemacolin Woodlands, wintering in the Florida Keys, while always welcoming family and friends to share in the splendor of nature.

A daughter to Florence and Clyde Kane, Gwen was wife to the late Harold Taylor for 57 years. She was the beloved mother of five children, Duncan (Diane), Deborah Copeland (John), Megan (Joseph DeSantola), Michael (Valorie) and Adana Kirk (Peter), and proud grandmother of eight grandchildren, Dylan, Derek, Taylor, Alicia, Andrew, Evan, Carley and Abigail. Also surviving is her sister, Gail Murphy.

Friends and family are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 25, in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-941-3211.
