Ann Marie Talpas Dyky, 95, of Monessen, died Friday, October 26, 2018, in The Residence at Hilltop, Monongahela.
She was born April 15, 1923, a daughter of the late Valent and Maria Rumanchik Talpas.
Ann was a member of Epiphany of our Lord Roman Catholic Church, Monessen, and the former Most Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Monessen, prior to its closing, where she was a member of Confraternity of Christian Mothers and Rosary Society.
She was a lifelong member of First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association Branch 88 and Mon Valley Slovak Cultural Society.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, John M. Dyky, who died in 1979; a son, Dennis J. Dyky, who died in 2009; and sisters Mary Baron, Kathryn Drabik, Veronica Kline and Joan Kisinko.
Surviving are three sons, David J. Dyky of Monessen, Donald J. Dyky of Charleroi and Douglas J. Dyky of Monessen; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Michael J. Wood of Raleigh, N.C.; a grandson, former U.S. Marine Zachariah J. Dyky of Scenery Hill; a sister, Cecilia Kubik of North Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The staff and management of Drs. Gosai & Gandhi, Charleroi, The Residence at Hilltop, Monongahela, and ViaQuest Hospice, Monongahela, extended great care and compassion during Ann’s final days, before she was called home to her Lord’s presence.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc., 1415 Marion Avenue, Monessen, PA 15062, 724-684-3700, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 30. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Epiphany of our Lord Roman Catholic Church, Monessen. Interment will follow in Most Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery, Monessen.
