James Jay Walker
James Jay Walker, 60, of Waynesburg, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018, in WHS-Greene, Waynesburg.
He was born April 21, 1958, in Waynesburg, a son of the late David L. and Betty Jo Eisiminger Walker.
He was a graduate of Waynesburg Central High School.
On June 1, 1991, he married Melissa Ann Hougland, who survives.
Mr. Walker worked in the natural gas industry for 31 years. He was currently working as a senior construction manager for MarkWest Pipeline. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 112.
He was a lifelong resident of Waynesburg and a member of First Assembly of God at East View.
Jim loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed raising vegetables to share with family and friends and to can for winter. Jim also enjoyed hunting deer and turkeys, playing softball and feeding purple martins.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Melissa Ann, are a son, Jason B. Dulaney (Rebekah) of Waynesburg; six grandchildren, James M., Caleb B., Elijah C., Callie J., Issac L. and Brendal C. Dulaney; siblings Lee Walker (Shirley), David “Pete” Walker (Becky), Carl Walker (Sharon), Jerry Walker, Dani Iams (Robert), Jean Scott (Larry), Patricia Smith, John Walker (Becky), William Walker (Laura), Alan Walker (Olivia), Barbara Moore and Michele DeFrancesco (Jeff); two sisters-in-law, Beth E. Moore (Chad) and Cynthia L. Triboletti (William); and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 1, with Pastor Mike Hampton and Pastor Jim Galbraith officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.
