Stanley F. Radzai
Stanley F. Radzai, 101, of Canonsburg, formerly of Gettysburg, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018, in McMurray Hills Manor.
He was born May 8, 1917, in Kulpmont, a son of the late Alex and Alice Chalico Radzai.
On September 20, 1943, he married Josephine Santell, who passed away February 14, 1987.
He was a veteran, who served his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Radzai was a recipient of the Bronze Star and was stationed at Pearl Harbor during World War II.
He retired after many years of employment as a steelworker.
Mr. Radzai had many interests and hobbies including boating, building things and his true passion, flying and anything to do with airplanes.
He is survived by his two children, daughter Janice Dumont (Joel) of Cecil and son Robert Radzai (Karen) of Gettysburg. Also surviving are a grandchild, Jilian Falbo (Michael) of Canonsburg; a great-grandson, Dominic Falbo; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, are a sister, Mary Saukaitus, and a brother, Benjamin Radzai.
Friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, Darla A. Tripoli, LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, September 10. Interment will follow at 10:30 a.m. in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Cecil Township, with full military rites accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191, Canonsburg, and the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
