James H. Lewis Sr.
James H. Lewis Sr., 69, of Waynesburg, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018, in his home, following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Lewis was born October 26, 1948, in Holbrook, a son of the late Lawrence Lewis and Della Vannie Phillips.
James is survived by two children, Connie Sue Lewis and James H. Lewis Jr., both of Waynesburg; four grandchildren, Carl L. Yankura Jr., Rhiannon M. Lewis, Destiny N. Barth and Cody J. Lewis; 11 siblings, Ronald Lewis (Beverly), Judy Price (Charles), Linda Milliron, Roy Tedrow (Charlotte), Kathy Kramer, Lisa Tedrow, Roberta Ackman (Fred), Debbie Zajicek (Pete), Paul Tedrow (Cherie), Scot Lewis and Bethany Timmer; a sister-in-law, Debby Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Ravia Kay Johnson Lewis; a brother, Gary Tom Lewis; and his stepfather, Paul Gene Tedrow.
Mr. Lewis served his country in the U.S. Army while stationed in Germany in the 1960s.
He attended Waynesburg College and retired from R.G. Johnson Co.
He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He liked to watch a passing storm and lightning.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, 724-966-5100, with a service taking place at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor James Carpenter officiating.
