Roger Allen Cox

Roger Allen Cox, 66, of Cherry Valley, McDonald, died Monday, September 10, 2018, in his home.

He was born October 11, 1951, in Washington, a son of the late Arvid Benjamin and Emma Mae Lewis Cox.

Mr. Cox served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Bridgeville, where he was a deacon, co-chair of Helping Hands and sat on the property team.

He enjoyed dart ball and baseball. He was a member of Pittsburgh CARS Club and the proud owner of a ’69 Chevy Chevelle.

He was a machinist for Phillips and then worked as a mechanic for 20 years at Washington Ford.

Surviving are his wife of nine months, Lori Kilinsky Cox; two brothers, Dennis Lee Cox of Moon Township and Kevin James (Sue) Cox of Avella; two stepchildren, Haley and Andrew Denes, both of Imperial; a nephew, James (Dana) Cox; and a great-niece, Ella Cox.

He also leaves behind his cat, Heidi.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Robin E. Michalka Cox, and a brother, Daniel Cox.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 14, with Pastor John Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
