Leona Edinger

Leona “Lee” Edinger, 88, of Washington, died Monday, September 17, 2018, in Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington.
She was born May 30, 1930, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Andrew J. and Catherine Persohn Becker.
Mrs. Edinger was a graduate of West View High School. A homemaker, she was famous for her homemade potato salad.
Mrs. Edinger’s greatest joy in life was being a grandmother. Her hobbies included knitting, drawing, cross stitching, scrapbooking, gardening and birding.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh.
On December 24, 1954, she married George M. Edinger, who died September 11, 2001.
Surviving are two sons, George M. (Tammy) Edinger of Gibsonia and Paul (Marie) Edinger of West Deer; five daughters, Nancy Parris of Cheswick, Susan (Frank) Rex of Apollo, Ruth (Mike) Bergen of Morgantown, W.Va., Linda (Tom) Clogan of Pittsburgh and Lois (Eric) Raphael of McMurray; three brothers, Tom (Arlene) Becker of Carson City, Nev., Andy (Barbara) Becker of Ellicott City, Md., and Rick (Maureen) Becker of Evans City; 11 grandchildren, Matthew, Bethany, Jessica, Stephanie, Tom (Alex), Michelle, Sarah, Tonya, Nicole, Andy and Catie; brother-in-law Nick La Slavic; and sister-in-law Lillian Becker.
Deceased are a granddaughter, Serena; a brother, Ray Becker; and a sister, Irene La Slavic.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, September 20, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
