Clara Poznak Maga passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018, in Premier Washington Health Center, at the wonderful age of 103.

She was born July 11, 1915, in Cherry Valley, a daughter of the late Andrew and Katherine Sikorski Poznak.

On October 29, 1943, she married Philip Maga, who died in 1971.

Mrs. Maga was employed as a cook at Pitt Restaurant. At home, she was an excellent cook, avid baker and superb seamstress.

Surviving are three children, James Maga and Robert (Paula) Maga, both of McDonald, and Sunny (Raymond) Sefzik of Midway; grandchildren James R. Maga, Bridget (Ray) Shaytar, Nanette (Gary) Paracca, Eric (Rachel) Maga, Summer (Bryan) Pizzuti, Courtenay (Shawn) DeLuca and Travis (Erin) Sefzik; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Frances Aloe; and sisters-in-law Dolores Poznak, Elizabeth Poznak and Betty Poznak. Her love of family was strong and her heart was full of kindness; she was grateful for the love and support of Nancy Patterson and Marva Donaldson.

Deceased are brothers Karl, Victor and Ted Poznak; sister Josephine Lonchiek; and two brothers who passed away in infancy.

Nurses Rhonda and Tammy of Premier Washington Health Center provided tender care and made her stay more comfortable, and the staff of Amedysis Hospice were sources of help and support.

Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Thomas-Little Funeral Service Inc., 314 West Lincoln Avenue, McDonald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 22, in St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, McDonald. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Township.
