Evelyn Bernadine Roberts Riggle England

Evelyn Bernadine Roberts Riggle England, 86, of Wellsburg, W.Va., passed away at 1:27 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2018, in Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, W.Va.
Evelyn was born November 22, 1931, in Colliers, W.Va., a daughter of the late Clarence and Lucille Mozingo Roberts.
Evelyn loved antiques and created Evelyn’s Flea Market in Bavington. In addition to the flea market and antiques, she loved attending Christmas in the Village in Eldersville with her friends and family to sell all her Christmas crafts. She was a devoted mother and her greatest love was her time spent with family. She enjoyed gardening, painting, and was an excellent seamstress.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husbands, James Riggle and Frank England; a grandson, Richie; and three brothers, Clarence “Red,” Ralph, and Richard “Dick” Roberts.
She is survived by eight children, James Riggle and wife Linda of Steubenville, Ohio, Janice Riggle of London, Ohio, Robert Riggle and wife Leslie of Omak, Wash., Becky Petka and husband Philip of Cross Creek, Marshall “Kurt” Riggle of Wellsburg, Marsha “Annie” Ivanac of Eldersville, Colleen Choff and husband Phillip of Burgettstown, and Jeanne Pietropola of Slippery Rock; 20 grandchildren, Natalie, Bethany, Zachary, Jeremiah, Jessie, Rachel, Caleb, Matthew, Kelley, Mark, Cory, Courtney, Jamie, Jerry, Lindsay, Phillip, James, Olivia, David and Dominic; 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas “Tom” Roberts and wife Elfe of Eldersville; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Friday, September 26, in James Funeral Home, Follansbee, 304-527-1717, with Elder Eugene Chadwell officiating of Community Christ, Follansbee. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Colliers.
