Louis R. Hayman
Louis R. “Frog” Hayman, 76, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 23, 2019, in Washington Hospital.
He was born on the Fourth of July, 1942, to Louis F. and Evelyn McChesney Hayman, who preceded him in death.
Frog had a very strong work ethic and was employed as a plumber by Mayview State Hospital for 30 years.
He had many interests and hobbies, including traveling, watching western movies, buying and selling antiques, attending auctions, and gambling at the casino. Above all, his grandsons meant everything to him and he enjoyed spending as much time with them as he could.
He is survived by his son, Louis W. Hayman (Whitney) of Canonsburg; a daughter, Darla J. Hayman of Canonsburg; his former wife of 40 years, Carol A. Hayman, who was his caretaker; his brothers, Harry Hayman (Betty Jo) and Wayne Hayman, both of Hendersonville; his sisters, Sarah Andrews (Toby) of McDonald, Mina Higgins (David) of Canonsburg, Nancy Rush and Debbie Neswald, both of Portvue, Susie Martin (Art) of Derry, Donna Martin of Hendersonville and Mary Lou Cain (Edward) of Canonsburg; his best buddies and two grandsons, Connar Hayman and Logan Graff; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He now rests with his parents and a brother, Kenneth Hayman, who preceded him in death.
Friends are welcome 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. to noon, the time of services, Monday, April 29, with Darla A. Tripoli, LFD, certified celebrant officiating, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317, 724-745-8120. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, 3739 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.
