Dona Sylvia Behling Morgan

Dona Sylvia Behling Morgan, 83, of McMurray, passed away peacefully Monday, July 29, 2019, in St. Clair Hospital, Mt. Lebanon, surrounded by her family.

She was born February 7, 1936, in Cecil, to Wilbert and Sylvia Monaco Behling, who preceded her in death.

Dona graduated from Cecil High School in 1953 and attended the Duff’s Business School of Pittsburgh.

On February 14, 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, Charles “Chuck” Morgan, who sadly passed away May 21, 2019. She was truly a devoted wife for their 62 years of marriage.

Dona kept her eye on her children as an aide for Canon-McMillan schools in the late ’70s and ’80s. She then went to work at the Catholic Charities in Canonsburg for many years and finished her career at Tribol Industries in Bridgeville as an administrative assistant.

She was a sentimental lady and kept every trinket and card she received from loved ones. Dona loved the holidays and specialized in birthday parties for her family. While celebrating with her family, she enjoyed singing and playing the piano and she loved writing poetry. Dona was an excellent gift giver and made sure each gift was wrapped thoughtfully and lovingly.

Mrs. Morgan and her husband always stressed the importance of family, being patient, loving each other always and enjoying the little things. She realized how life and love was so important after the loss of her father at age 16. She rarely had a bad word to say about anybody and had many people who will miss her kind heart.

She often said her children were her link to eternity. The most important work she did was raising her three children and doting constantly on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Bruce W. Morgan (Felicia); daughters Colleen L. Jamerson (Randy) and Amy L. Grealish (Tim); eight grandchildren, Jayde Morgan, Chuck Jamerson (Jen), Maureen and Jack Jamerson, Lauren Grealish (Orlando Reyes), TJ Grealish (Amanda) and Morgan and Casey Grealish; and eight great-grandchildren, Keighan, Tierney and Lily Jamerson, Layla, Gigi and Gabe Reyes and TC and Aubrey Grealish.

Her family will miss her immensely but will honor her by passing on the love she gave.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where a funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday, August 6, with the Rev. James Levkulich officiating.
