Cathy J. Ring
Cathy J. Ring, 55, of Waynesburg, died Friday, August 9, 2019, at home.
She was born September 23, 1963 in Barnesville, Ohio, a daughter of Dorothy May Ridgeway Whitacre of Graysville, Ohio and the late Lewis “Lynn” Whitacre.
Cathy had worked at Kyowa America from 1992 to 2002 in a lead position at the plant.
She loved her dogs and donated time and money to animal charities.
Cathy particularly loved taking trips with her family to beach destinations.
On February 13, 1982 she married Mitchell L. Ring Sr., who survives.
Also surviving, in addition to her husband and mother, are two children, Amanda Ring Lavery and her husband JD; Mitchell L. Ring Jr. and his wife Megan; three grandchildren, Maura Everleigh Lavery, Emerson Matthew Ring and Ryleigh Elizabeth Ring; siblings, Shelia B Voight and her husband William of Graysville, Ohio, Lynette Cochran and her husband Tom of New Matamoras, Ohio, Carl F. Whitacre and his wife Kim of Graysville, Ohio and Cindy Lou Hendershot of Clarksburg, W.Va.; also several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her stepfather, Thurman Ray Myers.
Deceased, in addition to her father Lynn, are her father-in-law, Dwight G. Ring. Surviving is Dwight’s wife Wilma, who was of great support and comfort to Cathy and Mitch. They took many wonderful trips together.
