Barry L. Conway

Barry L. Conway, 65, of Canonsburg, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019.

He was born September 12, 1953, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Edward L. Sr. and Genevieve Kubacki Conway.

Mr. Conway was a 1971 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.

He worked in highway and airport construction, most recently with Hi-Way Paving, based out of Hilliard, Ohio, until his retirement in 2017. He was a member of Laborers Local Union 1058, Pittsburgh.

In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Conway was a member of Chartiers Lodge 297, F&AM. He was also a member of Canonsburg Sportsman’s Club, Labor Temple Association and a social member of American Legion Post 902, Houston.

On June 5, 1976, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Canonsburg, he married Dolores “Dee” Mancuso, who survives.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two brothers, Edward (Karen) Conway Jr. of Claysville and Randy (Jennifer) Conway of Canonsburg; three nieces, Kellie (Jack Holmes) Ryburn, Stacey (Rob Warfield) Silvis and Samantha (Jesse) Rice; two nephews, Randy Conway Jr. and David Conway; a great-niece, Madison Ryburn; a great-nephew, Noah Rice; and several aunts and cousins.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Hummell and Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, Thomas W. Hummell, supervisor, Douglas M. Jones, director, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 6. Interment will follow in Woodruff Memorial Park, North Strabane Township.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to a charity of one’s choice.
