Patricia Mason Headlee
Patricia Mason Headlee, 85, of Waynesburg, died at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019, in Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Thursday, August 17, 1933, in Garards Fort. She was a daughter of the late Melva H. Mason and Pearle Hoy Mason.
She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Waynesburg, where she was an active member and had served as a pianist and organist for many years. She also had worked in the church as secretary and treasurer for 50 years.
Mrs. Headlee was a 1951 graduate of Mapletown High School and Penn Commercial in 1952. She had the gift of hospitality and enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. In addition to the church, she had worked in First National Bank, Waynesburg, as the new accounts representative and in Thompson Christian Bookstore in Waynesburg.
The staff of Amedisys Hospice and Waynesburg Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center provided excellent care to Patty during her time of illness.
She is survived by her husband, Donald H. Headlee, whom she married December 23, 1955.
Also surviving are daughter Donna J. Headlee of Phoenixville; two sons, Ronald P. Headlee and wife Karen of Waynesburg and Donald M. Headlee and wife Kalissa of Nixa, Mo.; four grandchildren, Andrew S. Headlee, Ethan M. (Liz) Headlee, Michael S. (Morgan) Headlee and Paige E. Headlee; great-grandson Everett A. Headlee; two sisters, Joan Spitznogle of Mt. Morris and Joyce Anderson of Mt. Morris; three brothers, James E. Mason of Waynesburg, John R. Mason of Greensboro and the Rev. Jack A. Mason of Phoenixville; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is sister Thelma Foley.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370. There will be additional visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of the service, Saturday, February 16, in First Assembly of God Church, 4131 West Roy Furman Highway, Waynesburg, PA 15370, with the Rev. Michael Hampton and Pastor James Galbraith officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris.
