William P. Guy, age 89, of Claysville, died Thursday, January 3, 2019, in the Donnell House.
He was born July 11, 1929, a son of the late Claude G. and Ardith Donston Guy.
Mr. Guy was an operator at plant 7 of Brockway Glass, where he worked until he retired when the plant closed in 1984. Following his retirement he did small engine repair.
In his free time, he enjoyed CB and HAM radio.
On October 15, 1948, he married the love of his life, Margaret Gashel. The two were married for over 70 years.
Surviving are a son, Richard L. (Mina) Guy, of Washington; two daughters, Deborah K. (Donald) Byerly, of Heidelberg, and Paula J. Guy, of Claysville; a brother, Robert E. (Shelly) Guy, of Newark, OH; six grandchildren; a step-grandson Donald Byerly; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Deceased are a foster son, Donald Eckert, and a brother Claude Zane Guy.
