Warren K. "Ken" Piatt

Warren K. “Ken” Piatt, 71 of Washington, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 2, 2019 at the Washington Hospital.

Ken was born in Waynesburg on April 28, 1947, a son of Warren Grable and Jane Baker Piatt.

He was a graduate of Trinity High School and attended the Washington Hospital School of Radiology. He went on to work at the Centerville Clinic, Mayview State Hospital, Prudential Insurance and retired as a guard at SCI Greene.

Ken was a member of Liberty Methodist Church.

He was a crew chief and served in the Air National Guard. He loved horses, guns, hunting, his little Boston Terrier, Lucy and his little farm in Scenery Hill.

Family was so important to “Uncle Ken”. He often spent time visiting with family, making memories, and telling jokes. He especially enjoyed the children and they loved him back.

Surviving are two brothers, John (Susan) Piatt and Bill (Gerry) Piatt both of Washington; his beloved “kids”; niece, Amanda (Bryan McCullough) Piatt; four nephews, Bill (Robin) Piatt Jr., Jared (Michele) Piatt, Brian (Kim) Piatt and Jeff (Holly) Piatt; great nieces, Brittany, Morgan and Aubrey Piatt, Brogan McCullough and McKenzi Danhart; great nephews, Braden, Warren, Carson, Jake and Michael Piatt, Cole McCullough and Shawn Danhart.

Friends will be received Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington with Pastor Marty Bausman officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Family would like to thank staff in the CCU, 7S and 6E at the Washington Hospital for their loving and compassionate care of Ken and his family throughout this very difficult process. Thank you also to Doctors, Sharma, Stafford, Dougherty, Troup, Allison, Minteer and all others who helped us along.
