John Eustis

John “Jack” Eustis, 84, of Bridgeville, died Saturday, January 5, 2019, in Canonsburg Hospital.

He was born September 5, 1934, in Washington, a son of the late John Wilbur Eustis Sr. and Mary Crossland Eustis.

A graduate of Trinity High School, he was Methodist.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War, until his honorable discharge on July 2, 1957. For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

Mr. Eustis worked as a manager for Jessop Steel.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and spending time at the beach.

On July 21, 1986, he married Lynn Ruffner Young, who survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Gregory (Cheryl) Eustis of Washington, Thomas Eustis of Albert Lea, Minn., Jonathan (Heather) Eustis of West Alexander and Ross Young of Aliquippa; three daughters, Cheryl (Michael) Wiskirchen, of Indianapolis, Ind., Lisa (Jeff) Olson of Albert Lea and Amber (Lowell) Darby of Cumming, Ga.; a brother, David (Linda) Eustis of Crawfordville, Fla.; and two sisters, Marilyn Failinger, of Stewart, Fla., and Nancy (Donald) Markley of Bethel Park.

He adored his grandchildren, and was the best Po Po and grandpa ever.

Deceased is a brother, William Eustis.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 10. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
