Dorothy Louise Reed
Dorothy Louise Reed, 94, of Washington, died Sunday, January 6, 2019 at South Hills Rehabilitation and Wellness.
She was born August 28, 1924 in Cecil Township, the daughter of the late Robert Ross and Rachel McFall Ross.
Dorothy attended Trinity High School and was a member of Chartiers Hill Presbyterian Church.
She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 30 years for Chartiers Hill Church.
A homemaker, Dorothy enjoyed baking and helping others.
On May 23, 1942, she married Robert Eugene Reed, who died June 18, 2015.
Surviving are a son, William (Mimi) Reed of Florida; a daughter, Sandra (Larry Rush) Cunningham of Washington; four grandchildren, Michelle (Larry) Putman, Daniel (Anita) Reed, Joseph Cunningham and Amy (Tom) Bush; five great-grandchildren, Kayla Cunningham, Hunter Stollar, Jessica Cunningham, Julia Cunningham and T.J. Bush, and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents are four brothers, John, Robert, Paul and Bill; four sisters, Mary, Anna, Eleanor and Helen, and son-in-law, Joe Cunningham Sr.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m Sunday. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held on Monday, January 14 at 12:30 p.m. with Reverend Don Austin officiating. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
