Kyle Herman Cratty
Kyle Herman Cratty, 18, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 12, 2019 surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer.
He was born June 10, 2000 in Pittsburgh to Kelly T. Cratty of Clarksville and the late Marcie Jo Rapchak of Clarksville. He and his twin brother, Keaton Todd, are natural fighters, as they were both in the hospital for several months before they got to come home.
Kyle was a junior at Jefferson-Morgan Jr. Sr. High School, where he loved going to see his teachers, aids and friends. He also volunteered in the school cafeteria. Kyle always carried his “plunder,” which included his flash cards, crayons and color cards with him wherever he went. He loved animals, especially his dogs, Poppy, Remington, Chloe, and Sonny. He was a past member of the Greene County 4-H rabbit club. He loved going to both the Greene County and Jacktown fairs every summer. He enjoyed visiting with everyone and seeing the animals. His favorite show to watch was Barney and he loved dancing to the chicken dance. He also enjoyed many activities outside like jumping on the trampoline, swimming and playing basketball with the Special Olympics of SWPA.
His final achievement was as an organ donor through C.O.R.E.
Kyle is survived, in addition to his father, by his twin brother, Keaton Todd Cratty; and sister, Karleigh Tawny Marie Cratty; half brothers, Brandon Brumley and Christopher Cratty; half sisters, Eileen Cratty and Hayley Cratty; stepmother, Holly Whipkey; stepfather, Robert Downie; aunts and uncles, Tammi and Dave Burnsworth, Jill and J.D. Pekar, Sally and Brad Crouser, and Clarence “Sammy” Wise; cousins, Robert and Kristi Howard and family who were very kind to him.
Deceased, in addition to his mother, is an uncle, John Rapchak; and his grandparents, Mike and Violet Rapchak, and Janet and Herman Cratty.
Family and friends will be received in the Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Ave., Carmichaels, PA 15320, 724-966-5100, from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 17. The funeral service will be held at 7:45 p.m.
Visitors are requested to wear purple, orange, or both colored clothing to the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics of Southwestern PA.
