Violet Hines Borella
Violet Hines Borella, 52, of Washington, died on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in the Donnell House, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born on November 1, 1966, in Washington, a daughter of Violet T. Pirillo Hines and the late Benjamin Hines, II.
A graduate of Avella High School, Violet attended Bradford School of Business, as well as Penn Commercial Business/Technical School, where she studied medical billing and coding.
Her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her daughter, nieces and nephews, and she loved going to the beach with her daughter. Another one of her favorite pastimes was going to movies at the theater and the drive-in movie theater. She also enjoyed attending sporting events, watching her nieces and nephews play various sports.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a daughter, Gabriella Borella; a brother, Ben (Tina) Hines, III; a sister, Eliza Pushey; nieces and nephews, Amanda (Todd) King, Brandon (Courtney) Pushey, Noah Schroeder, Sierra Kelley and Romeo Porter; a great niece, Trista, and two great nephews, Landon and Camden.
Friends will be received on Sunday, January 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 21.
Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Avella.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
