Dorothy Yanosh Zvonkovich
Dorothy Yanosh Zvonkovich, 98, of Greensboro, Pa., died at 6:24 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born December 29, 1920 in Ronco, Fayette County, a daughter of the late Konstanty and Eva (Wiesneski) Yanosh. Mrs. Zvonko-vich was a member of the former Holy Family Catholic Church of the St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish and was currently a member at St. Ignatius. On July 1, 1942, she married Stephen A. Zvonkovich, who died January 30, 1997.
Surviving are three sons, Charles J. Zvonkovich and his wife, Frances, of Canonsburg, Jerome J. Zvonkovich and his wife, Lisa, of Apollo, and James Aaron Zvonkovich, at home; a daughter, Marian Franks and her husband, Andrew, of Waynesburg; eight grandchildren, Cristine Fargo (Tim), Eric Zvonkovich (Megan), Jessica Franks, Matthew Franks (Alania), Stephenie Zvonkovich, Lauren Franks, Jeremy Zvonkovich and Jordan Zvonkovich; four great-grandchildren, Justin Fargo, Andrew Ingram, Devin Zvonkovich and Sydney Zvonkovich; a daughter-in-law, Linda S. Zvonkovich of Alexandria, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Stephen A. Zvonkovich; a daughter, Dianne Zvonko-vich; a granddaughter, Kimberly Zvonkovich; four brothers, Frank Yanosh, Roy Yanosh, Michael Yanosh and Lewis “Dick” Yanosh; and three sisters, Carrie Wobster, Constance Bobosik and Josephine “Jay” Cihon.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, where a blessing service will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Monday, January 21, followed at 11 a.m. by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church, Bobtown, with the Reverend Albin McGinnis as celebrant.
