Peggy L. Katchmark of Rices Landing, Pa., passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 in Bonita Springs Fla. after bravely battling cancer. Peggy was born in Waynesburg, July 2, 1962 to Gerald and Nora Garber Anderson. She was one of six children. She was married to Greg Katchmark February 19, 1999 in Jefferson, Pa. She was a devoted wife and will be sorely missed by her loving husband and family.

Peggy enjoyed spending time boating and camping with her husband, family and friends. She loved to crochet, garden, make crafts and bird houses. She was a devoted daughter who spent several years taking care of her parents in Bradenton, Fla. It was during this time she developed a great love for Florida and the warm weather. Recently she and her husband became snow birds in Bonita Springs, Fla. where she enjoyed water volleyball, corn hole, and playing pokeno with her many friends from Imperial Bonita Estates. Peggy was always a great lover of animals and will be greatly missed by her two cats, Tiger and Angel.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Greg Katchmark; daughter, Barbara Gallon and husband Nicholas of Waynesburg, who are due to have Peggy’s first grandchild, Niko, January 18th. Also surviving are her five siblings, Daniel W. Anderson and wife Shelby of Rochester Mills, Cindy Anderson Foor of Waynesburg, Lora Anderson of Waynesburg, Mark Anderson and wife Robin of Mt. Morris, Connie Stevens and husband Chuck of Mannington, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will be holding a private service. In lieu of flowers and cards, please make donations in Peggy’s name to the American Cancer Society. Hopefully we will someday beat this terrible disease that took our Peggy so young.
