Margaret Belle Erdely, 92, of Bentleyville, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 in her home.
She was born December 26, 1926 in Ellsworth, a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Godfrey Lucy.
She was employed with the Bentleyville Telephone Company as a switchboard operator for several years and also worked in the cafeteria of the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital.
Margaret was a lifelong member of the Bentleyville Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed bingo and crocheting, and most importantly loved her family.
Surviving are three children, Susan Hartley (Ronald) of Bentleyville, Joseph Erdely Jr. (Sheryl) of Waynesburg, and James Erdely of Bentleyville; one brother William Godfrey of Stockdale; a sister, Althea Snyder of Utah; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is her husband Joseph Erdely Sr. who died in 2001; a son, Kenneth E. Lucy; two brothers, George and Herbert Lucy; and a sister, Frances Macosko.
Friends will be received 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the time of service, Friday, January 25, in the Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA.
