Gregory Roy Myers, 59, of Avella, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019.

He was born on August 4, 1959 in Weirton, W.Va., son of Peggy Jean Crane Myers of Avella and the late Norman Roy Myers.

Mr. Myers was a 1977 graduate of Avella High School and was a graduate of Airco Technical Institute in Pittsburgh, receiving his Welding Certificate in 1983.

He was a self-employed welder and machinist for the past 35 years and a subcontractor for Cast & Baker Corporation in Canonsburg for over 15 years.

Greg was a hard worker and when he wasn’t working, he loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He took several motorcycle trips to the West coast.

He was a lifelong resident of Avella.

Surviving Mr. Myers, in addition to his mother, a sister, Deborah (Lawrence) Conard, of Acme.

Friends and family will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, in the Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home, Inc., 18 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312.

Burial is private.
