Vincent Sabatasse, 64, of Paris, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 17, 2019, in Weirton (W.Va.) Medical Center, from an apparent cardiac event.
Vince was born June 20, 1954, in Follansbee, W.Va. He was a son of Eva Jean Hagar Sabatasse and the late Harry Sabatasse, who died in 2017. Vince was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Sabatasse.
Vince spent his time volunteering as an adult leader with Bavington Boy Scout Troop 1396. In addition to his main duties as an adult leader, Vince was merit badge counselor for the cooking merit badge. He had a love of food and would share this passion with anyone he could. He was employed as a computer programmer with TriNet, Weirton.
Along with his mother, Vince is survived by his wife, Robin Stockham Sabatasse; daughter Lindsey Celniker and husband Damian of Austin, Texas; son Colin Sabatasse of Paris; sister Tina Sabatasse of Washington; mother-in-law Barbara Y. Stockham of Weirto; and nephews and nieces Jalen Morris and Rex, Garrett, Emma, Lillie, and Shepherd Stockham.
As per Vince’s wishes, there will be no viewing. A celebration of life will be held at Kramer’s Greenhouse/Coal Tipple Brewery, 1905 Steubenville Pike, Burgettstown, PA 15021, on Friday, February 1, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Please come as you are.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Boy Scout Troop 1396 and may be sent to Chris Kramer, 409 Kramer Road, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Weirton.
