Bradley Jon Severyn
Dr. Bradley Jon Severyn, DDS, 55, of Houston, passed away unexpectedly, of natural causes, in his home Sunday, January 27, 2019.
He was born September 26, 1963 in Canonsburg, a son of the late Theodore A. DMD and Roene E. Havelka Severyn.
Bradley lived his entire life in the Canonsburg area and was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School Class of 1981, where he excelled in tennis and baseball.
Dr. Severyn was a graduate of the University of Dayton in 1985 with a bachelor of science degree, where he pitched baseball, and the University of Pittsburgh Dental School in 1989. He practiced dentistry in Canonsburg and Houston for many years.
He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg and the Knights of Columbus counsel 3291.
Brad was an avid golfer and member of the Golf Club of Washington. He enjoyed playing cards and building model cars, assisting with Canonsburg Youth Baseball, and he had coached girls’ soccer and softball in his daughters’ youths.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his three beloved daughters, Sydney, Abby and Julia Severyn, all of Canonsburg; his sister, Cyndee Kaule of Charleston, S.C.; two brothers, Gregory M. (Marjorie) Severyn of Pittsburgh and Jeffrey Alan Severyn (Kathy Holtzer fiance) of Greensburg; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends and family are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner/supervisor Darla Tripoli LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, February 2. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Twp.
