John Paul Navoski

John Paul Navoski, 97, of Bulger, died Monday, January 28, 2019, in St. Clair Hospital.

He was born November 14, 1921, in Cherry Valley, a son of the late Roy and Christine Lucas Navoski.

Mr. Navoski was a member of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church and Slovan VFW. He was a World War II U.S. Coast Guard veteran, serving two years aboard the USS Glendale in the South Pacific.

He was previously employed as a meat cutter with A&P Tea Company and a salesman for the Daily Juice Company. He was an avid golfer and belonged to several local golf clubs.

Surviving are a sister, Dorothy Navoski of Cherry Valley; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Prebeg Navoski; brothers, Amil, Mike and William Navoski; and sister, Christine Kuhn.

Friends will be received from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the Thomas-Little Funeral Service Inc., 106 St. John Street, Midway, 724-796-3301. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Saturday in St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 967 Grant Street, Bulger. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Burgettstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church.
