Bill Verelst Sr., 82, of Hanover Township, went to be with his creator Sunday, June 30, 2019.
He was born September 25, 1936, in Sturgeon, a son of John B. Sr. and Minnie Smith Verelst.
Bill worked as a fork lift operator for more than 30 years at J&L Steel in Aliquippa.
Bill was a member of Masonic Lodge Centennial 544 in Carnegie and the Weirton Elks Lodge 1801. He was an avid golfer and antique collector, especially of John Deere tractors and Jim Beam decanters.
On April 15, 1967, he married Patsy Ann Vitagliano, who survives.
Also surviving are five children, Frank A. Bohach and wife Mary of Weirton, W.Va., Flo-Ellen Joyner and husband Kenzy of Chesapeake, Va., Michael J. Bohach and wife Kathleen of Gulf Port, Miss., Karen Victoria and husband Don of Dormont and Bill Verelst Jr. and fiancee Mischele of Hanover Township; two brothers, John B. Verelst Jr. of McDonald and Robert Verelst of Atlasburg; a son-in-law, Lloyd Zeff of Virginia; 11 grandchildren, Ryan, Melissa, Michael, Frank, Heather, Patsy, Stephen, Abigail, Justin, Hayden and Abigail; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a beloved daughter, Beverly Zeff.
A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 6, in Weirton Elks Lodge 1801, 3429 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062. Arrangements are entrusted to Nation Funeral Home Inc., McDonald.
